Teen accounts are open to teens ages 13-20. At the age of 21, your SPIRE Teen accounts automatically convert to a SPIRE Share Savings and Free Checking accounts.

SPIRE Mobile Wallet

Pay with your SPIRE Visa® Debit card via your mobile device.  SPIRE Mobile Wallet is available on Apple Pay and Google Pay. Check your mobile device's system preferences for details.

Teen Savings Account

A savings account designed to help teens start off on the right financial foot. SPIRE Teen Savings accounts don't require a minimum balance and we don't charge a minimum fee. Start earning dividends on any account balance and easily transfer money to your checking account or to your friends' accounts.

Teen Checking Account

SPIRE Teen Checking accounts are truly free since there are no monthly maintenance fees or minimum balance requirements! Setup a free direct deposit from your job so you get your money as soon as it's available. You can also use your SPIRE Teen Savings account as overdraft protection for your checking account.

SPIRE Visa Debit Card

You will receive a SPIRE Visa® Debit card with your SPIRE Teen Checking account! Use your debit card anywhere Visa is accepted and with Apple Pay and Google Pay.
ATM transactions are free at all SPIRE branch and Kwik Trip locations, CHS Field, as well as CVS, Target, and Walgreens locations in Minnesota.

Regulation D

Regulation D requires that during any calendar month you may not make more than six withdrawals or transfers from your savings account to another account of yours or to a third party by means of a preauthorized or automatic transfer or telephone order or instruction. Transactions governed by Regulation D include, but are not limited to: automatic transfers from savings to checking for overdraft protection, automatic transfers from saving to any other account, telephone transfers from savings to any other account (including transfers made using Telephone Banking and the fax machine,) preauthorized payments from savings, transfers from savings to any other account using Personal Access Home Banking. Regulation D allows unlimited transfers and withdrawals from a saving account when made by mail, messenger, ATM, or in person, or when such withdrawals are made by telephone provided a check is mailed to the member. Transfers to repay loans at the credit union and to pay safe deposit box rent are also unlimited.
