Google Pay to replace Google Wallet & Android Pay
Jan 31, 2018
SPIRE members using SPIRE Mobile Wallet on their Android or Google mobile devices will notice a change later this month. Android Pay and Google Wallet are becoming Google Pay.
According to Google, combining the two services will make it easier for mobile users to pay for items both online and in stores. Those making purchases with a SPIRE Visa® Credit or Debit card on an Android or Google device will not experience major changes to the way they pay for items via SPIRE Mobile Wallet. They also will not experience any changes within the SPIRE Mobile app.
The SPIRE Mobile Wallet is available to users who have enrolled in SPIRE Internet Banking, have the SPIRE Mobile app on their mobile device and have a SPIRE Visa® Credit or Debit card. Qualifying users can make purchases both online and in stores via their mobile device.
The SPIRE Mobile app is available on the Apple App Store and Google Play. SPIRE Mobile Wallet is available on Apple Pay and Google Pay.
