Yes, though we recommend using your mobile device’s web browser or a desktop/laptop computer for your first login to SPIRE Digital Banking.
If you have a Tax Identification Number (TIN) for your business: You will need to set up access to both your personal and business accounts separately.
If you do not have a TIN and use your personal Social Security Number for your business: You will only need to create one username. You will see all of your personal and business accounts together under a single username.
It is a six-digit code sent to you by email, text message, or phone call to assist in verifying your identity. This helps keep your accounts safe from fraudsters.
There are three ways to secure your accounts to help keep them safe from fraudsters based on the features your mobile device provides.
Face ID, Touch ID, and Fingerprint (Biometrics) on Your Mobile Device
The latest mobile devices include Face ID or Touch ID (Apple devices) and Fingerprint (Android devices). When asked, you can choose to enable this feature to login to SPIRE Digital Banking from the SPIRE Mobile app. This is something SPIRE recommends if it is available on your device.
Mobile Device Passcode
You can also choose to use your mobile device's passcode to login to SPIRE Digital Banking from the SPIRE Mobile app. This is the same code you would use to unlock your mobile device.
SPIRE Mobile App PIN
The last option to secure your accounts is to set a PIN specific to the SPIRE Mobile app. On devices that don't provide Face ID, Touch ID, or Fingerprint, you will be prompted to enroll in PIN Login. If you select “Not Now,” this will dismiss the PIN Login Enrollment screen. This enrollment screen will not display again so it is best to set the PIN when asked. If you wish to turn on PIN at a later time, you will need to select Settings in the SPIRE Mobile app.
Choosing to remember a device allows SPIRE Digital Banking to identify it in the future to help you login more quickly. Do not select to remember a device if it is a shared device (i.e. a public/work computer or you allow others to use your device).
Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) or Two-factor Authentication is used to verify your identity to help keep your accounts safe from potential fraudsters.
When enabled, at least two pieces of information are required at each login (i.e. your username, password, and a code sent to an email address or phone number we have on file for your account).
To turn MFA on or off, select Settings in SPIRE Digital Banking. Then, select the Security tab.
