Powerful in Pink & Stronger Than Cancer

Each year, over 30,000 new cancer cases are reported in Minnesota.* Since 2015, SPIRE staff have worn pink in October to raise awareness and money for the American Cancer Society of Minnesota.

Over the last seven years, SPIRE staff have raised more than $10,000 for the American Cancer Society of Minnesota by choosing to purchase pink and white items. This year, staff will wear "Stronger than Cancer" pink t-shirts and masks on Fridays and Saturdays in October.

"The annual 'Pinktober' fundraiser is something our staff looks forward to each year," states SPIRE Giving Coordinator Abby Patterson, "we all have been affected by cancer somehow and this is one way we feel we can make a difference."

The annual Pinktober fundraiser is just one of several charitable opportunities that SPIRE staff and members participate throughout the year. To learn more, please visit myspire.com/giveback.
