SPIRE Credit Union partnered with Family Pathways to collect and fill backpacks with school supplies for more than 150 children beginning the 2019-2020 school year.
SPIRE employees and members at all 19 branches generously donated and collected backpacks, while Family Pathways gathered supply donations. The packs were then brought to a service project coordinated by SPIRE and Family Pathways where SPIRE’s Board of Directors, Supervisory Committee, and leadership team filled them with supplies.
“SPIRE’s Core Action is giving back,” says Dan Stoltz, President and CEO of SPIRE, “With this initiative, we were able to combine forces within our organization; members, employees, leadership, and volunteers; toward a united goal. It is rewarding and humbling to work with an organization like Family Pathways who is so deeply committed to the needs of their communities.”
“We are beyond grateful for SPIRE’s generosity,” remarked Lisa Mears, Family Pathways CEO, “They have been, and continue to be, a strong partner for our mission of standing by the side of our neighbors.”
The filled backpacks were made available free of charge at all Family Pathways Food Shelf locations. To learn more about Family Pathways, please visit familypathways.org.
